About The Wax Lab

Back in the mid 80's I had a couple friends and we were all surfers with ideas. Shannon,Jeff, Sean and myself, I was the one with a little chemistry background from school. Together we started Ganja Surf Wax..  Initially we had a candle company blending up our compound but it was only average. We were fragrancing and pouring on the porch of our apartment. The original fragrance was a Bee magnet with daily swarms. We quickly rented a house and took over the garage..After a couple years I acquired the company and started formulating and developing market leaders.I had also seen a future in the t-shirts I was selling and it was easy.compared to manufacturing surf wax. I then developed a clothing company called Original Ganja Wear. After a few years of a deep dive into the garmet industy I decided it was too stressful and cutting into my activities, like surfing. I still had a booth space paid for and booked at the ASR show that year, I think 2002. I set up the booth as Ganja Surf Wax with some t-shirt, beanies, hats, wax remover, combs and some other stuff. I got quite a few inquires for private label surf wax.  This was the beginning of Waxlab. We create much more than just surf wax now.Some of what we make includes:

I have been doing this for 20 years now without advertising or any web presence. I was recently injured and my friend Matt (a surf industry veteran) stepped up to help me. While working at the Lab he quickly realized I need a website and went to work. Now here we are...
